Today I worked on assembling the pants. The first step I took was to assemble the pieces that would make up the pockets. The pockets are made up of three pieces: the the pocket yoke, and pocket facing, and the pocket lining. The pocket yoke and facing were both cut out of the same fabric as the pants during the main cutting step. The lining is cut out of pocket fabric and is shown below.
The yoke and facing are then attached to the pocket lining. When the lining is folded over, these will make up the visable parts of the pocket.
The pocket is then attached to the pants and sewn at the bottom to create the finished pocket.
